During this in-person workshop, OIS advisors will provide a review of UIC's J-1 scholar categories: Research Scholar, Short-term Scholar, and Scholar Student Intern. Please bring any case questions for discussion at the end of the session.
The following topics will be covered:
- Overview of the category's requirements and terms
- Invitation Process and timelines
- Review of current forms and myOIS e-form processes
- The importance of the Training and Placement Plan (DS-7002)
- UIC resources
- Post-invitation obligations
This workshop is open to UIC administrators whose work involves inviting J-1 EV Scholars to UIC and supporting them while on campus.
