The Office of International Services (OIS) invites J-1 Exchange Visitor Scholars to attend "Planning your Future: EV Scholar Workshop and Social" on Thursday, March 23 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Thompson Room in Student Center West. The workshop portion of the event will cover the topics listed below and allow time for questions. An informal social with light snacks and refreshments will follow the workshop for the remaining time.
- Maintaining research program objectives
- Maximum program time, extensions, and transfers
- Program Completion – DOS Alumni Network
- Post-program limitations – 24 month bar and 212e
- U.S. immigration statuses for employment (i.e. H-1B)
- Self-sponsored immigration statuses - Use of Attorneys Policy
