myOIS

The Office of International Services uses myOIS, a user-friendly and mobile device compatible portal that allows members of the UIC international community and UIC department administrators to submit and manage requests related to immigration records hosted by UIC.

Log into myOIS

Please see below for specific log-in instructions and notifications for different types of myOIS users.

  • Confirm that you have an active UIC NetID.
  • Click the link above to access the myOIS log-in page.
  • Click the button for “Full Client Services for Students & Scholars.”
  • Enter your UIN and password.
  • From there, you will see a list of the F-1 and J-1 student e-forms currently available to you.

Please note that new international students will gain access to myOIS only after receiving admission from UIC and approval of their OIS Documents.

Alumni with active UIC NetIDs and passwords

  • Click the link above to access the myOIS log-in page.
  • Click the button for “Full Client Services for Students & Scholars.”
  • Enter your UIN and password.
  • From there, you will see a list of the F-1 and J-1 student e-forms currently available to you. F-1 alumni on OPT should look for F-1 Practical Training link in the left-hand menu.

Alumni with deactivated UIC NetIDs and passwords

  • Click the link above to log into myOIS.
  • Click the link for “Limited Services for Students & Scholars.”
  • From there, you will see a list of the F-1 and J-1 student e-forms currently available to you. F-1 alumni on OPT should look for F-1 Practical Training link in the left-hand menu.

Scholars and employees with a UIC NetID

  • Confirm that you have an active UIC NetID.
  • Click the link above to access the myOIS log-in page.
  • Click the button for “Full Client Services for Students & Scholars.”
  • Enter your UIN and password.
  • From there, you will see a list of the J-1 EV Scholar e-forms currently available to you.

Scholars and employees without a UIC NetID

  • Click the link above to log into myOIS.
  • Click the link for “Limited Services for Students & Scholars.”
  • From there, you will see a list of the J-1 EV Scholar e-forms currently available to you.

Department administrators supporting international scholar status

If your work involves supporting or managing the immigration status of international faculty, staff, or visitors (referred to collectively as “scholars”) then you will need a myOIS account in order to access full client services. With a myOIS account, you will be able to submit requests such as check-ins for non-UIC-sponsored employees, departures, and J-1 Exchange Visitor forms.

  • Click the link above to access the myOIS log-in page.
  • Click the button for “Full Client Services for Students & Scholars.”
  • Enter your UIN and password.
  • From there, click “Departmental Services” on the left-hand menu to view available e-forms.
  • If you do not yet have departmental access to myOIS you will be prompted to “Lookup New Account” after entering your UIN and password. Please click “Admin” and then “Request Account.” Please note that new account requests are reviewed by OIS and are not instantaneous.

Department administrators supporting international student status

If your work involves supporting the immigration status of international students, you do not need a myOIS account. At this time, international students self-initiate all requests related to their F-1 or J-1 status in myOIS. If you are named as the approving administrator on a request, you will receive an email notification including a link to log into myOIS as a third-party approver. Again, this does not require a myOIS account.
