Download iCal FileF-1 students interested in applying for Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) are required to attend an introductory workshop before submitting an OPT request to OIS or application to USCIS.
The Post-Completion OPT workshop covers essential information about the benefit such as eligibility requirements, application process, and timeline. Students will leave with an understanding of how and when to apply for OPT along with the necessary application materials. Students may attend an OPT Workshop whenever the interest sets in, however, it's recommended to attend during the first weeks of the final semester of study.
OPT Workshops are conducted online via Zoom. Registration is required and log-on details will be provided upon registration.
Please note that late arrival to the OPT Workshop or early departure is not allowed. If you are not able to log into your scheduled OPT Workshop at the starting time, you will be advised to reschedule for the next available workshop.
