Fall 2021 International Arrival Vaccine & Self-Quarantine Support
COVID-19 vaccine requirements and self-quarantine guidance have been announced, and will continue to be updated, for individuals planning to be on-campus for the fall 2021 semester. The Office of International Services is providing the following reminders and resources in an effort to support members of the UIC international community as they navigate these requirements.
Fall 2021 COVID-19 Vaccine and Self-Quarantine Requirements
UIC has communicated vaccine requirements and disclosure deadlines for both students and employees. Additionally, self-quarantine guidelines have been posted and continue to be updated as the pandemic evolves. Please scroll down to "Campus Travel Quarantine Guidance."
COVID-19 Reporting Decision Tool
Individuals returning to campus from international locations are being asked to report their travel through the COVID-19 Reporting Decision Tool one to two days prior to travel. However, please note that this tool is currently being updated to better accommodate international arrival scenarios and should reflect changes to the question formatting shortly. If you can refrain from reporting your travel no more than one to two days before departure, that is preferred.
OIS Virtual Town Hall Recording
On July, 9, OIS hosted Dr. Susan Bleasdale, key leader in UIC's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, for a question and answer session aimed at helping new and returning UIC international students and scholars understand the campus vaccine requirement and self-quarantine guidelines. In the session, Dr. Bleasdale answered common questions from the UIC international community related to these topics. The town hall recording can be viewed below and many of the questions are now included on the today.uic.edu/coronavirus COVID-19 FAQs page (scroll down to international students, scholars, and employees).
