UIC Provides International Vaccine Guidance for Booster Shots

On Dec. 7, UIC shared helpful guidance on COVID-19 boosters for individuals that have been vaccinated outside the U.S. You can read the full announcement here. The University of Illinois System previously announced on Dec. 6 that everyone who is eligible should obtain a COVID-19 booster shot as soon as it is recommended after your primary series. Booster shot appointments can be scheduled at UI Health. As always, all campus news related to COVID-19 can be found at today.uic.edu/coronavirus.

As a reminder, beginning Dec. 6, all non-U.S. citizens and non-U.S. immigrants traveling to the U.S. by air must be fully vaccinated from COVID-19 and show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than one day before travel. For more information on COVID-19 requirements for international air travel to the U.S., visit the CDC.
