J-1 EV Scholar Contact Information Updates
During your J-1 Exchange Visitor Scholar Program, you are required to notify OIS of any changes to your U.S. residential address, phone number, or e-mail address within ten days of the change.
Steps to update your contact information Heading link
- Submit the Address and Contact Information Update E-Form in myOIS.
- Confirm that the update was accepted by OIS. An OIS Advisor will contact you within 3 business days to let you know if any further information is required, or that the change was processed.
- Update your contact information to other offices as needed. UIC employees must update your address in My UI Info separately. You may also wish to update your mailing address with the U.S. Postal Service for mail-forwarding purposes.
