J-1 EV Scholar Funding Updates
All J-1 Exchange Visitors are required to demonstrate adequate funding for the duration of their J-1 Exchange Visitor Program. If your program funding source or amount changes during your program, you must notify OIS in advance. Even slight changes to your funding amount or a change in your UIC appointment title must be reported to OIS.
Steps to update your funding information Heading link
If your funding information changes, please submit the J-1 Change of Funding Request E-Form in myOIS along with the updated evidence of funding documents (e.g. UIC offer letter, bank statement, scholarship letter, etc.) An OIS advisor will contact you within three business days to let you know if additional information is required or to confirm that the request has been processed and if a new Form DS-2019 has been issued.
